History of Phoenix Theatre Guild

Founded in 1953, the Phoenix Theatre Company Guild (Guild) supports the Award-winning Phoenix Theatre Company which celebrates its 100th Season this year. The Guild is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization whose members raise funds for Phoenix Theatre. The Guild does this by offering a dinner and show for each Phoenix Theatre musical performance, as well as an annual fashion show and luncheon, among other events.

The Guild’s annual crowning achievement is its co-production of Holiday Prelude, now in its 33rd year, which combines high fashion, a great luncheon and boutique shopping for an unforgettable holiday experience. This year’s Holiday Prelude will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018 at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn, benefiting the Phoenix Theatre Guild and Phoenix Youth Symphony.

The Guild also generously supports Summer Camp performances throughout the 8 weeks of the program. These shows include youth ages 4 to 16 that perform what they have learned in camp each week to full capacity houses. The Guild is among Phoenix Theatre’s most loyal and constant supporters and has as much fun raising the funds as attending the shows!
